Word Links Journey is a game by Eight Fifteen Labs LLC. There are no accounts in the Game, so there is no account to delete. Everything the Game keeps about your play is stored on your device, and you can delete it at any time.
How to delete your data
Delete the Game from your device:
- iPhone and iPad: touch and hold the Word Links Journey icon, tap Remove App, then Delete App.
- Android: open Settings → Apps → Word Links Journey and tap Uninstall (the exact path varies by device).
That erases, at once, your progress, coins, hints and reveals, streak, missions and daily bonus, settings and consent choices, along with the random identifiers that the Game's analytics, crash reporting and purchase service use.
After that, the analytics and crash data collected while you played can no longer be connected to you by us or by anyone else: it was linked only to those identifiers, and we don't collect your name or email address. (The one exception is Apple's IDFV on iPhone and iPad, which is shared by every app of ours on the device and resets once none of them is installed.) It is deleted automatically on the schedule below ("What is deleted automatically").
Have a question, or something else you want deleted, such as an email you sent us? Write to privacy@eightfifteenlabs.com with the subject "Word Links Journey - delete my data". If you made a purchase, include your store receipt, and we will ask Unity to delete the in-app purchase records it keeps for it. We confirm by email and complete the request within the time the law requires (usually 30 days in the EEA and UK, 45 days in California).
What is deleted automatically
- Usage statistics (Google Firebase Analytics): after 2 months.
- Unity's in-app purchase service logs: after 90 days.
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): after 90 days.
- Gameplay analytics (GameAnalytics): after up to 12 months (rolling), when it is anonymized or deleted.
- Our email correspondence with you: up to two years after your last message, or sooner if you ask.
What is kept, and for how long
- Purchase records held by Apple or Google are kept by them as tax and accounting law requires. Purchases stay with your store account, so Settings → Restore purchases can bring the VIP Pack's ad removal back if you install the Game again.
- Advertising data is held by Google under its own policies. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings and manage it at https://myadcenter.google.com.
- Copies in your device backups (iCloud or Android backup) follow your backup settings; restoring an older backup can bring old progress back.
- Your tracking permission on iPhone and iPad is a setting of your device, not of the Game. Change it in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
